The official Weekly Top 10 Christian Music Hits song list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts and top play lists from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and Air 1.
Phillips, Craig & Dean and Mary, Mary are riding high in the top spots on the Top 10 this week and new music from Everyday Sunday, Run Kid Run, Wayburn Dean and Capital Lights rounds things out for a week that rocks!
1. "Revelation Song" - Phillips, Craig & Dean
"Revelation Song," which debuted seven weeks ago, is off of the upcoming August release, fearless. A tribute to the greatness of Jesus, this song is already a hit at radio and sits in the number one spot on three different charts.
2. "God In Me" - Mary Mary f/ Kierra 'Kiki' Sheard
"God In Me" combines the Campbell sisters with Kiki Sheard to deliver an urban flavored jam that will have you dancing in your chair!
3. "Best Night of Our Lives" - Everyday Sunday
Debuting this week, the title track from the band's latest release is pure Everyday Sunday and 110% energy.
4. "Hero" - Skillet
In week number four, our fourth song in the Top 10 is from the upcoming release, Awake, which will hit stores on August 25. One of those tunes that reaches out, snatches you up, shakes you around a bit and just refuses to let go, this one will be the summer's hottest rocker.
5. "Speaking Louder Than Before" - Jeremy Camp
Number five is the second radio release from Jeremy Camp's album of the same name. With a almost power/punk beat, this tune could easily be the official battle cry of 2009 for youth and adults alike.
6. "My Sweet Escape" - Run Kid Run
Debuting this week, "My Sweet Escape" is the second radio release from Love at the Core. This love song to God has some almost worship element to it and is a nice change for Run Kid Run.
7. "I Will Rise" - Chris Tomlin
"I Will Rise," which debuted 18 weeks ago, is the latest single off of Chris Tomlin's 2008 release Hello Love.
8. "What Will Be Your Legacy" - Wayburn Dean
Debuting this week, "What Will Be Your Legacy" comes from Through The Rain. This uptempo tune asks what will be left of us when we're gone. Will our service to the Lord live beyond our bodies?
9. "Return" - Capital Lights
Our final newcomer this week is off of the 2008 release, This Is An Outrage!. With lyrics that a secular review called "flagrant," the return that they speak of is Christ's return during the Second Coming (Matthew 24).
