2008 was a great year in Christian music. Excellent new music came from new faces and old favorites. The Top 40 Christian Hits of 2008 comes from charts like R&R, Billboard, and of course, About.com, and is based on how many weeks any given song stayed in the Top 10.
31. "How You Live (Turn Up The Music)" - Point of Grace
With a bit of a country flair, "How You Live (Turn Up The Music)," the title track off of the quartet's latest release, is a delightful tune with some strong meaning and a message that we all need to remember.

"Yours" is another wonderful, heartfelt song that came to us from This Moment. This worship anthem reminds us that God rules it all and we truly do belong to him.

33. "I Will Not Be Moved" - Natalie Grant
Natalie Grant showed that she has a little rock in her with "I Will Not Be Moved." Off of her latest release, Relentless, this is a great song about how being broken keeps us grounded and lets us find strength.

34. "Captives Come Home" - Run Kid Run
"Captives Come Home" came from the April release, Love At The Core. In a word, this song is big ... big vocals, big chorus, big punch.
35. "Remind Me I'm Alive" - Ivoryline
"Remind Me I'm Alive" rocked its way off of Ivoryline's February release, There Came A Lion.
36. "Here I Am" - downhere
"Here I Am" came from the September release, Ending is Beginning. The beautifully done pop ballad is about our own flaws and insecurities and how while we will fall and fail, God can and will put us back together again.

37. "Come Thou Fount" - Jadon Lavik
"Come Thou Fount" is off of Jadon's February 2008 release, Roots Run Deep. This acoustic version of the traditional hymn has a traditional delivery, yet it's got a modern feel which will delight those who love the old as well as those who lean toward the new.
38. "Carry Me Down" - Demon Hunter
"Carry Me Down" is one of the slower, more melodic songs on Storm The Gates Of Hell. Not typical DH, but not bad either.
39. "Mighty To Save" - Laura Story
"Mighty To Save" comes to us from Laura's March 2008 release, Great God Who Saves. Laura's cover of the Hillsong tune gives it a pop flavor and she definitely makes it her own.
40. "By Your Side" - Tenth Avenue North
"By Your Side" is the second radio single from the band's debut album, Over and Underneath. With very Jon Forman sounding vocals, the song is written from the perspective of Jesus himself, and asks some hard questions about why we don't seem to feel like he's enough.
