The Devil Wears Prada is finishing up the dates for the 2012 leg of their extremely popular Dead Throne tour. After 36 shows in 2011, the 2012 tour covered 30+ more dates.
Not a band that sits still for long, after a short four week break, the band will be back on the road for another 26 dates with the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. The traveling festival will feature The Devil Wears Prada sharing the stage with fellow Christian band As I Lay Dying and mainstream bands Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, Asking Alexandria, WhiteChapel and high on fire. With the controversy that has surrounded Slipknot and Slayer, some have questioned the band's decision to tour with them, which leads to a few more questions ... If The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying didn't appear on the same stage with them, who would be reaching out to their fans? If there were no bands there to offer a Christian alternative to metalcore, would those same fans even know that any existed? Does reaching out to the lost only count when you're doing it with an exclusively Christian line-up?
