The Bebo Norman Fall 2004 Tour marks Normans third national headlining tour.
Norman comments, Im super excited about this fall tour. Well play great new songs, and some old ones, too. Jason and Bethany are phenomenal young songwriters frankly, I am a little jealous they are so good so young. It is a privilege to have them out with me.
Bebo Norman has always been one of our most requested touring artists because of his unique ability to connect with an audience in a personal way, both through his music and stories, said Dan Rauter of Third Coast Artists Agency. There is a lot of excitement in the market about Bebo's new album, and the addition of Bethany Dillon and Jason Morant to this tour have taken things to the next level.
While on tour, Norman will perform new music from Try, recorded at Nashvilles renowned Sputnik Studios (Jars of Clay, City on a Hill). Working for the first time with producers Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay) and Matt Bronleewe (Michael W. Smith, Natalie Imbruglia), Try is reminiscent of Normans intimate and sincere musical style.
To celebrate the tour kick-off, Norman will perform private backyard concerts in Chicago, Ill., Tulsa, Okla., South Bend, Ind., and Lufkin, Texas, as part of the Backyard with Bebo radio promotion. The grand-prize package includes a private concert with Norman and 50 friends at the winners house, as well as a brand new gas grill, cover, full propane tank, food and drinks, and cooking utensils.
Performing independently for three years before signing to Essential Records in 1999, Norman has earned the distinction of being a premier lyricist with accessible music and a personable stage presence. Norman's popularity has grown exponentially with the release of his three label titles, Ten Thousand Days (1999), Big Blue Sky (2001) and Myself When I Am Real (2002). Boasting a fiercely loyal following, Norman draws standing-room-only audiences across the country and continues to garner significant media attention, including the covers of CCM Magazine, Christian Single, Premier, Believe and Release.
Also taking the stage at Normans Fall 2004 Tour is Sparrow Records artist Bethany Dillon, whose self-titled debut album released in April to widespread critical acclaim. CCM Magazine writes, Bethany Dillon has all the potential of a Christian music success story... she writes Christ-centered, message-driven tunes with a maturity beyond her years like Amy Grant on her way up. Dillon recently shared a stage with industry and audience favorites Gotee Records SONICFLOOd, Word Records 4HIM and Essential Records FFH, as well as label mates Shawn McDonald and Starfield. Dillons first radio single off of the self-titled project, Beautiful, became a Top 5 AC Christian hit, as her current single, All I Need, has already garnered the No. 1 Most Added honor on R & Rs Christian AC/CHR chart.
Vertical Musics Jason Morant joins the tour after performing for tens-of-thousands at this summers festivals, including Creation East, Creation West and Cornerstone. His first major label project, Abandon, released in June, garnering recognition from such major industry media as ChristianMusicToday.com, CCM Magazine and Worship Leader, who praised Morant for his well-honed instinct for dynamics and a calibrated balance between devotion and celebration. Remarkable for a new artist, Abandon debuted at No. 11 on SoundScans Christian retail chart and No. 6 on the Praise & Worship chart while the albums first single, You Give Me Life, is garnering significant radio attention.
