EMI CMG /Sparrow Records’ internationally renowned band, newsboys, is currently in the studio recording its highly anticipated album, devotion, releasing Nov. 2, 2004.

Combining traditional newsboys rock stylings with praise and worship elements, devotion follows up the band’s recently certified fifth Gold album and fastest selling project to date, Adoration: The Worship Album. newsboys frontman Peter Furler is producing the album that features the songwriting talents of industry legend Steve Taylor and acclaimed newcomer Tim Hughes, in addition to vocals from Rebecca St. James and guitars from Delirious?’ Stu G.

In addition to devotion, newsboys announce Target’s sponsorship of its fall tour. Featuring co-headliner Rebecca St. James and special guest Todd Agnew, “Target presents Adoration: The Tour” extends the spring leg of the circuit that sold out 29 of 34 markets earlier this year and will garner significant exposure from the national mega retailer’s tour support.

Amidst recording devotion, newsboys continue to perform before tens of thousands of fans this summer, ranging from church leader’s conferences and amusements parks to Christian and mainstream festivals. In addition to a main stage appearance at July’s Rockfest in Cadot, WI with REO Speedwagon, Styx and Judas Priest, newsboys recently set a single show attendance record for any genre at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus with over 10,000 people in attendance.

Upcoming newsboys shows include:
