Sparrow Records’ internationally acclaimed rock group, >Newsboys, hosted a pre-race concert last Saturday, April 10 for the Pepsi 300 NASCAR Busch Series competition at the Nashville Superspeedway.

The Newsboys’song list included many hits as well as new songs from its current acclaimed project, Adoration: The Worship Album. Tens of thousands of race fans were also in attendance to watch veteran driver Michael Waltrip win his 11th Busch Series race.

In further support of the project, the band recently completed its highly successful Adoration tour with Rebecca St. James. Selling out 25 of the 35 concerts in major markets throughout the U.S., the tour additionally included a performance at Teen Mania’s Stand Up 2004 event in Indianapolis, IN that was attended by over 40,000 people.

As past performers at the Nashville Superspeedway include legendary acts such as Wynonna, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley, among others, the Newsboys recently became the first rock group to perform at the Nashville Superspeedway.
