December 1st, the countdown to Christmas begins. BarlowGirl is going to help get me into the holiday spirt and then a wonderfully simple Italian soup will warm me up. Then tonight I'll be watching some classic Christmas shows on DVD.

- December 1st kicks off the 25 Days of Christmas, so to celebrate, I'm making something simple, yet filling because I know that simple is a word that won't be in my vocabulary for much of the rest of the month.
Jota di Base - Bean and Sauerkraut Soup. I can start soaking the beans in the morning and then by the time I'm ready to start cooking, they'll be ready and I won't have much more to do.
