The Praise Baby Collection: 'God of Wonders'

In January of 2004 a new face in Christian children's videos was introduced. The Praise Baby Collection was designed to create a nurturing, interactive environment for the development of a child’s spirit and mind using top praise and worship songs. My baby had just turned four, but from the moment the DVD started, she was enthralled. So many preschoolers stay glued to the TV and mine is no different. It was wonderful to have something that she could watch that would do more than "kill time".

While she watches the video, seeing pictures of God's creation, she is also learning the popular praise and worship songs that she is hearing.

When the second DVD in the series, God of Wonders, came out, we were both excited. God of Wonders was just as wonderful as the first video, Praises and Smiles.

I can't tell you how much joy it brings to have your little one pull you down next to him/her on the couch and proceed to sing songs to you like "God Of Wonders," "Hallelujah (Your Love Is Amazing)," "We Fall Down," "Be Unto Your Name," "Our God Reigns," "You Created Me" and "Agnus Dei" along with the video. That little voice singing those songs to God makes me smile so wide that it hurts ... and I can only imagine that the smile on God's face is just as big.

If you have a little one of your own, I can't recommend this series enough. If you have older children too you can expect that they will get something out of it as well. My 10-year old doesn't sit and watch the video, but she has just about worn out the CD! My 17 year old is more into Christian pop/rock, but she's heard the songs so many times that she catches herself singing along as well. A series with something for everyone ... how often can you find that?
