The official Top 10 Christian hit songs list is compiled by your Guide by checking and averaging Christian charts from all over the U.S. such as Billboard and R&R.
Matthew West and Jeremy Camp took the top spots this week in the Weekly Top 10 with Jeremy also sitting at number 9 with a second song.
1. You Are Everything - Matthew West
In it's second straight week at number 1, this song is definitely a hit for West. Off of the new release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit and your soul.
2. Let it Fade - Jeremy Camp
Moving up from number 5, Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself).
3. All Because Of Jesus - Fee
Up from number 7, "All Because of Jesus" comes to us from Fee's 2007 release, We Shine. You've heard this tune before because Casting Crowns covered it on The Altar And The Door but you haven't heard it like this.
4. Every Man - Casting Crowns
In week 5 in the Top 10, "Every Man" is the latest radio release from The Altar and The Door. As always, Mark Hall hits home with the lyrics on this tune, reminding us that there are plenty of every-day type people out there waiting for someone to give them some words of hope, encouragement and love.
5. Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman
The latest from Steven Curtis Chapman, "Cinderella" is off of This Moment and it's sure to be any parent's favorite because we all have those "Cinderella" moments with our kids where we take the time to smell the flowers and soak up the joy that God puts into them.
6. Washed By The Water - NEEDTOBREATHE
"Washed By The Water" is off of NEEDTOBREATHE's 2007 The Heat. Piano driven and based on a true story, this one is a real winner.
7. Come Thou Fount - Jadon Lavik
"Come Thou Fount" is off of Jadon's February 2008 release, Roots Run Deep. This acoustic version of the traditional hymn has a traditional delivery, yet it's got a modern feel which will delight those who love the old as well as those who lean toward the new.
8. Give Me Words To Speak - Aaron Shust
Off of his sophomore album, Whispered And Shouted, Aaron Shust sums up a problem that many of us have with "Give Me Words To Speak."
- Cause I can’t think of anything worth saying
But I know that I owe You my life
So give me Words to speak
9. No Matter What It Takes - Jeremy Camp
"No Matter What It Takes" is the latest single off of the popular, Beyond Measure. Kicking into high gear, this rocker lifts you up ... way up!
10. Never Would Have Made It - Marvin Sapp
"Never Would Have Made It" is off of Marvin Sapp's seventh album, Thirsty, which hit stores last summer. With a voice that is as smooth as glass and the background vocals courtesy of Myron Butler & Levi, this motivational and moving song has everything going for it. It's so popular that this week marks the 32nd week at number 1 on R&R's Gospel National Airplay chart.
