In a press release, Matt Redman said, “In this world we hear so much news, and a lot of the time it's disturbing, dark or depressing. But the gospel of Jesus Christ is all together different - it's refreshingly good news, beautiful news.”
The album features guest vocalist Delirious? frontman, Martin Smith. Redman and Smith sing together on “Take It to the Streets,” which Redman co-wrote with Smith. The two also co-wrote the song “All Over the World,” which was originally introduced at Passion 05. A third song on the album, “A Greater Song,” was written by Redman and worship leader Paul Baloche.
The studio recording of the current, top 10-radio hit, “You Never Let Go,” is also featured on Beautiful News. Taking inspiration from Psalm 23, the song was originally released as a live track from Passion: Everything Glorious.
